Whiski Wednesday’s – Coming Back !

We ran WHISKI Wednesday’s during the Scottish Food Fortnight and they were such a success that we have decided to keep them going, starting in November 2008, so come along and try a delicious whisky for FREE with each main meal purchased.

All promotions begin from 5PM every Wednesday evening during November (5th, 12th, 19th, 26th November 2008) at the WHISKI bar. Check our food menu out here and hope to see you there.

All of our food at WHISKI is prepared fresh on the premises each day and we use all the best local produce eg. all of our beef is from farms in the borders of Scotland and many of our suppliers are award winning like the most famous haggis Maker – MacSweens.

The Whisky Taste Challenge – 25 Sept 2008

What a great night we had at The Whisky Taste Challenge and we posed some very interesting questions –

Does whisky enhance the taste of food?
Should we be using good whisky in food ? …
Can you taste the difference when one dish has whisky added and one doesn’t?

All our guests sat down to a wonderful 3 course meal, each dish from the Whisky Kitchen book and matched with a selected whisky. Overall, the consensus was that the food with the whisky added was tastier than without.
